From being signed by the world famous Columbia Records as a teenager to releasing his first self-titled EP Album in August 2010, Isaac Russell is one Provoite that is going places.

The musician began writing and recording music while he was still in high school.  He originally signed with North Platte Records based out of American Fork and created his first album titled “Elizabeth.”

Since then, he has been brought on as a client of one of the most famous recording companies in the world.  Columbia is the label of some of America’s most well-known musicians, including Bob Dylan, John Mayer, Bruce Springstein, and John Legend.

Tomorrow night, Isaac Russell will return to the place where he got his start, Velour Live Music Gallery, to play a set and celebrate the release of his new album.  Also performing will be the bands Mudbison and The Second Estate.

Come support some of Provo’s homegrown talent on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 6 p.m.  Tickets are available at the door.  You can also see Isaac Russell perform at 7 p.m. at MO’s in Salt Lake City on October 15th.  His new EP is now available on iTunes.
