Once a little-known indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, Band of Horses is now rapidly growing in popularity.  The group was formed in 2004 after the break-up of lead vocalist Ben Bridwell’s previous band, Carissa’s Weird.

Band of Horses’ first album Everything All the Time, released in 2005, reached the top of the album charts in Scandinavian countries Norway and Sweden.  However, since the inclusion of the group’s songs in a number of different films, including Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Zombieland, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, they have made their way into charting in the United States, as well.

They have performed on the Late Show with David Letterman and recently opened for Pearl Jam and Snow Patrol.  Band of Horses is making their way to Salt Lake City on September 28th, 2010.  They will be performing at 8:00pm at In the Venue with Admiral Radley and Darker My Love.  Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $28.00 the day of.
